Unlike most tourists, I did not avoid visiting Darwin and Kakadu park during the wet season. Maybe I was lucky, but the weather was mostly fantastic. I enjoyed watching the breathless sunset in Darwin promenade, Sailing in Mary River on a one-hour guided tour. The guides on board were feeding some Crocos and explained about these unique creatures. At last, I took a guided tour to Kakadu Park with a local guide who explained about the regional indigenous heritage.
A must do attraction nearby Darwin is Litchfield Park. It has countless waterfalls, vast and green vegetation. Many places to dip in some cold water in the middle of a warm and humid day.
